Interior painting. Make room for a new finish.
Walls, ceilings, doors and trim, with preparation and everyday room use planned together. Start with the spaces you want to change.

An interior estimate starts with a room and surface list. We help you agree preparation, colors and finish boundaries before arranging the work.

Plan the work around your project.
Open the topics that matter to your surfaces and how the space is used.
Choose the rooms and surfaces.
List each room and mark the walls, ceilings, doors, baseboards, window trim and paneling you want included. A ceiling refresh and a complete room repaint are different scopes. Show corners, adjoining spaces and details that should stay as they are.
Send whole-room photographs and approximate dimensions, including high walls, stairways and difficult corners. Mention cabinets separately: coating cabinet fronts is a different task from painting the surrounding room. A clear list helps compare estimates without assuming that every visible surface is included.
Show the condition beneath the new color.
Share close-ups of cracks, peeling areas, stains and earlier repairs, with any known moisture or damage history. An old paint can or label can help identify the existing finish. Tell us about wallpaper or adhesive that remains on the wall.
We review surface preparation and any agreed drywall repair or wallpaper removal before coating. Painting does not establish that a leak or underlying damage has been resolved. Identify the repairs wanted in the same request so preparation and the paint boundary can be discussed together.
Compare colors in the room you use.
Consider the proposed color beside the flooring, counters, upholstery and trim that will remain. Daylight and the room lighting can change how the same sample appears. INSPIRE offers color consultation and wall-color samples, so you can discuss the options in the setting where you will see them.
Think about sheen as well as color, including areas you touch or clean frequently. Low- and zero-VOC options are available for discussion; the suitable product and finish depend on the surface and project. One coating is not assumed appropriate for every room or material.
Keep access and protection practical.
Identify furniture and equipment that can move, items that are fixed, floor coverings and entrances that must remain accessible. Mention pets, household schedules and other work underway. High foyers and stairways need an access plan rather than only a front-facing room photograph.
Agree the rooms or areas to work on, protection responsibilities and the sequence before dates are confirmed. The preparation photos show covered floors and masked room surfaces from our portfolio. They illustrate setup, without promising an entirely disruption-free occupied house.
Agree timing and the finish you will keep.
Tell us your city, ZIP or postal code, full project address and preferred timing. Preparation, repairs, the selected coating and site conditions affect the sequence. Room use and cleaning instructions should follow the coating actually chosen rather than one universal same-day promise.
If you want to keep the existing color, explain whether the request is a local touch-up or repainting a continuous surface. Age, sheen and light can affect the comparison; an invisible match is not assumed. We discuss the actual project and conditions by phone before agreeing the estimate.

What we can include.
- Agreed room walls, ceilings, doors, trim and paneling
- Surface preparation and repair boundaries identified in the estimate
- Floor, furniture and fixture protection discussed for the work area
- Color consultation and wall-color samples
- Low- or zero-VOC finish options where suitable for the project
We confirm the surfaces, materials and timing in your estimate.
Where is your project?
INSPIRE Painting is based in Sterling Heights, Michigan. This service is offered in our listed Michigan areas, plus Amherstburg and McGregor in Ontario. We discuss the address, access and project conditions with you by phone.
Share the city and ZIP or postal code so we can place the project accurately.
Choose an area to see its project overview. If the project location needs clarification, call (313) 917-3131.
The room around the work matters.
Floor protection, masked surfaces and panel preparation from two separate INSPIRE interior projects. The photographs show practical setup rather than a project in a particular city.

Protect the floor.
Discuss furniture movement and the floor or fixtures that need to stay protected.
Paper floor protection in the dining room.

Set the finish boundaries.
Walls, paneling and ceiling details can be separate parts of the agreed coating scope.
Upper walls and floor protected around the paneled room.

Review the small defects.
Show visible marks and gaps before the finish so surface preparation is identified.
Panel preparation with the floor protected.
Light walls. Defined details.
Views from our foyer and upstairs update, plus a separate lounge project. The finishes illustrate different room and trim boundaries; the lounge is not presented as the same home.

Photos from INSPIRE's own project portfolio. Project locations are shown only where confirmed. Explore more of our work.
Can you paint one room rather than the whole house?
Yes. Identify the room and the surfaces you want changed. Walls, ceilings, doors and trim can be discussed separately so the estimate reflects the scope you want.
Should wallpaper be removed before painting?
Show the existing wallcovering and explain the finish you want. Removal and the wall condition beneath it need review; preparing a wall for paint is not the same as coating over an unknown wallcovering.
Can drywall repairs be included?
Yes. Send whole-wall photos and close-ups of the repair areas. The estimate identifies the repair, preparation and painting that are included.
Do you offer low- or zero-VOC paint?
These options are available for discussion. We review the appropriate coating with the actual surface and finish requirements; one product is not prescribed for every room.
What should I send for an interior-painting estimate?
Send your city and ZIP or postal code, project address, room and surface list, approximate dimensions, overall photos, damaged-area close-ups, color ideas and access or timing constraints.
