Choose the surfaces. Keep the rest considered. Review exterior coating condition, preparation and access in a free estimate for your Canton project.

Describe the exterior you want to change.

Send a full view of each side involved and closer photos of the surfaces to paint. Identify siding, trim, doors or other requested details individually, and show adjacent brick, windows or finishes you want retained. Material information and previous paint details help when available.

Exterior painting starts with the actual substrate and coating. A whole-building request and a selected-surface update need different boundaries. An offered painting service does not establish that every siding material, fence or coating system is suitable without review.

Give preparation its own place in the plan.

Show peeling areas, weathered edges, previous repairs and difficult access. Tell us about known moisture problems or other work on the building. Cleaning, surface preparation and any additional carpentry should be identified in the agreed scope.

Portfolio photographs show exterior condition, masking and work on existing details. They support the preparation discussion without attributing those projects to Canton. Repainting a surface does not include solving a leak, restoring structural integrity or providing mold treatment.

Discuss conditions before committing to dates.

Explain access around the property, nearby plants and fixtures, and the areas you need kept clear. Share your proposed colors alongside the materials that will remain. The selected coating instructions and suitable site conditions affect the application plan.

Send the Canton, Michigan address, surface list and preferred timing for a free estimate. INSPIRE reviews conditions by phone and agrees preparation, painting and protection for the project. A booking is discussed individually; this page does not promise all-weather application or a universal completion window.

Peeling paint exposes wood on a ranch soffit above a patio

Define the paint boundaries.

Siding, trim and adjoining materials should be listed before a color change is agreed.

Brick-ranch project: peeling paint on the soffit before repainting.

New wood window casing fitted to clapboard siding during exterior repairs

Include wood repairs.

Show visible damage and the finish required after repair.

A separate farmhouse project: new window casing before the finish.

Paper masks brick above windows beside a ladder on a ranch exterior

Protect the materials that stay.

Openings, fixtures and access routes belong in the exterior plan.

Brick-ranch project: masking along the trim while the brick remains unpainted.

Same home. A different finish.

The same ranch wall appears before painting, with primer on the brick and with brick and siding painted in matching taupe. Camera positions differ between these photos.

Planning your project in Canton? Here is what to discuss at your estimate.

Photos from INSPIRE's own project portfolio. Project locations are shown only where confirmed. Explore more of our work.

Can the estimate cover trim or one elevation instead of the whole exterior?

Yes. Show the requested surfaces and where the work should stop. The proposal can then distinguish selected painting from a full exterior repaint.

What if I do not know the siding material?

Send clear overall and close-up photos and any existing product information. Material and coating suitability need review before preparation or painting is agreed.

Is power washing automatically included before painting?

Cleaning and preparation are discussed for the actual material and condition. The estimate identifies what is included; a single washing method is not assumed for every surface.

Can painting proceed whenever the calendar date is available?

The project must also meet the selected coating instructions and suitable conditions at the property. Preferred timing is discussed, rather than treated as an all-weather application promise.

Do you repair deteriorated exterior wood as part of repainting?

Show the affected details and explain known damage. Additional carpentry can be reviewed separately; structural repairs and concealed deterioration are not assumed to be included in painting.
